Booking
We book your expedition with a 30%deposit of the full price. Please, ask us about how to make your payment, we have several ways in which you can do it saving the international charges for transferring money. You can complete your payment when you arrive at Mendoza.

Cancellations
In case of canceling(*) a booked expedition when you have already made the deposit, Campo Base Travels and Adventures will give you the credit for two more seasons (Nov to March) starting the following season of your payment. Once expired this time your credit will be invalid. (*)All cancellations must be done at least 15 days before the departure date of your booked expedition, otherwise your credit will not be granted.

Normal Route Considerations
This route can be carried out by people with or without experience, but with an excellent physical condition. This is not a technical route, but it is extremely demanding due to high altitude conditions and acclimation needs.

The program duration, extreme temperature and the high altitude make this climbing a lot more demanding than a 6000 or 7000 in the Himalayas. The expedition requires carrying a 15kg backpack for several days for your personal equipment. Those who try this climbing should not only be prepared physically but must be mentally able to carry out the directions of our professional guides to have a successful trip.

Arrival to Mendoza
To access Mendoza city you can fly from Buenos Aires, Argentina; the flight takes 2 hours and 12 by bus. International flights arrive at Ezeiza Airport and internal flights arrive at Mendoza from Aeroparque de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Ask about transfers at the airline.
If your flight to Ezeiza and from Aeroparque to Mendoza are not synchronized on the same date, our company has transfers and hotels in Buenos Aires at no extra charge for the members of our guided expeditions.

If your flight arrives at Santiago, Chile, the flight takes 45 minutes and the bus ride 6 hours to Mendoza. If your flight from Santiago to Mendoza is not synchronized on the same date ask us about special prices and our exclusive minibus for airport transfers.

Personal Equipment on flight from country of origin
We recommend being especially careful when you check in your personal equipment from your departure airport when you travel abroad with special equipment your luggage may follow different flight connections than you, sometimes this causes a delay in your equipment arrival and therefore delays in the expedition departure.

Equipment
We suggest you to purchase or rent your equipment in Mendoza, this avoids costly extra charges at the airlines, the loss of the equipment and therefore delays in the expedition. Our company has special offers for the members of our expeditions in several stores in Mendoza.
